Download Bradley Verge LVL Revit Lavatory - Enhanced Reach Accessible

Posted by Daniel Hughes on Jun 27, 2018 7:25:00 AM

Download the Bradley Revit Lavatory - Sink Library; for the Bradley Verge LVL-Series Natural Quartz Lavatory System. The LVL provides the potential solution for fulfilling the Enhanced Reach Accessibility Requirement.

The 2009 ICC/ANSI Standards require that soap dispenser controls and faucets that serve certain accessible lavatories - larger restrooms determined by scoping such as IBC as to require an enhanced reach range - need to be installed with a reach depth of 11 inches  (280mm) maximum.

Bradley Virtual Design Tool | Architects-Interior Designers

Posted by Daniel Hughes on Nov 19, 2017 6:58:25 PM

The Bradley Virtual Design Tool (VDT) provides architects and designers self-service, photo-realistic product selection tools, within several pre-built restroom environments:

[ High Traffic ] - [ Institutional ] - [ Corporate ] - [ Hospitality ]

1) The Bradley VDT DESIGN tool offers to answer the most frequent client concern,

[ How will this lavatory-sink model appear within a space using my color selections? ]

2) The Bradley VDT COLLABORATION tool provides the answer to the next most important question,

[ How can I capture and share my design option decisions with my team and owner? ]

1) DESIGN Menu

Designers choose a project environment (Location) for visualizing Bradley's Natural Quartz and/or Solid-surface lavatory basins, toilet partitions with wall and floor materials.

Designers select the Bradley Sinks, Faucet & Soap Dispenser Options and Toilet Partition Materials from the 'Left Margin Menu'.

Several Wall and Flooring Material Options are available with a choice of Camera positions.

2) COLLABORATION Menu

As designers select product models and materials for review; they need tools to share and obtain feedback from BOTH the Design Team and Facility Owner.

Designers can Download the configured image, Print, Email and/ or Share to Social Media using the Menu in the Lower Right Margin.

3) SPECIFICATION Menu

The Designers' selected products and materials are listed in the upper right corner menu.

Selecting a product in the menu, pops-up a rendered product image with the selected material.

ZOOM the image by 'Rolling' the Mouse Wheel or Use the + / - buttons.

HOLD DOWN the Mouse Pick button to spin a 360 Rendered View of the product.

Since 2009, the Bradley Revit Library has served the visualization needs of architects & interior designers.

How to Add Bradley Product Revit Material Catalogs to Project

Posted by Daniel Hughes on May 17, 2017 4:40:00 PM

Bradley has created custom Revit Material Catalogs for all materials specific for Bradley products.

Bradley Revit Material Catalogs can be downloaded for

A link to Bradley Revit Materials is found on the Bradley Bradley BIM-Revit Library Page in the right margin.

All materials use a naming convention that is consistent with materials already supplied in Revit.

Bradley Revit Material Catalogs are unique as material definitions are attached to individual "Chips" in a Revit Project file (*.rvt) file (shown above).

A Revit user can copy a material chip(s) from the Material Project File and paste it into their Revit Project File. When the chip is pasted into their project; it carries the material definition into the project. Just delete the chip and the material definition remains in the project.

  1. find and select the Bradley product family in the project,
  2. select the material parameter in the Property Browser and
  3. select the added Bradley Material in the project Material Browser dialogue box.

This copy-paste process avoids using  the 'Transfer Project Standards' dialogue box; that would transfer ALL the materials into the client Revit project. This keeps the project file smaller; while keeping the Project Material Library clean from unwanted \ unused materials.

When you download our Material Catalogs, you will receive them as separate .zip files.

Inside the downloaded .zip files  is a Revit Material Project file (*.rvt ) and the corresponding material .jpg image files; that are Bradley materials. The material .jpg files are required for the Revit rendering process.

  1. Copy all the .jpg image files into a Bradley folder in your firm's Manufacturer Material Library folder.
  2. Add this new folder to the 'folder search path' that Revit Rendering searches to find material image files.
  3. In the Revit Options Dialogue box, select Rendering tab in the left margin.
  4. Select the 'plus + symbol' to add the new directory.
  5. The icon with dots " ...  "appears in the right.
  6. Select the dots to browse to and select the Bradley material folder that was added.
  7. Revit will now automatically search this folder list for materials, when rendering a view.

How to Load Keltech Revit Family Using A Revit Family Catalog

Some Revit Keltech tankless water heater families include a Revit family catalog file (*.txt). All of them have a Clearance Box object. (The Revit Clearance Box object is defined below)

Make sure the Revit Keltech Family Catalog file (*.txt) ALWAYS remains with and in the same folder as the Revit family.

Load the the Keltech Tankless Water Heater family from the Revit Ribbon:

  • HOME Tab > Component

Next select Load Family Button in the upper right corner

When the Load Family file dialogue box pops up;

  • Navigate to your Keltech Revit Family Folder > Select the Family > Select Open

The Keltech Revit Family Type Box will pop up; showing the Keltech models in the catalog.

You may need to slide the horizontal scroll bar (right/left) at the bottom of the dialog box, to see all the parameter columns for each Revit Type.

Select one or several Keltech models by holding down the CTRL Key and selecting the models (in the Type Column) you wish to load into your project.

35 Bradley Washfountain Revit Family Models - Early Bradley Innovation

Posted by Daniel Hughes on Oct 10, 2016 4:00:00 PM

Bradley Corporation pioneered and patented the washfountain concept-design in 1919.

After more than 90 years, the washfountain remains a Bradley signature product that features a variety sizes, shapes, materials and innovative electronic water saving controls.

View Washfountain Blog Article: Washfountains | What is the application?

Excerpt: Every day, we get calls from architects and engineers asking for help in deciding what washfountain to use for their project. My first question to them is always, “Where is the product going to be used, and what is the application?” Very often they haven’t really thought about the application. Factors like appearance, space available, ADA compliance, and water conservation are given more consideration than how the fixture will be used. While these other factors are important, the product specified has to consider the user.

Key Costs and Quality Steps for Building Revit Families

Posted by Daniel Hughes on May 24, 2016 1:30:00 PM

The Bradley BIM Team maintained time and cost records for building the Bradley Revit Family Library from the summer of 2009 to December 2011.When I survey the Revit family modeling costs, relative to the processes we used to build Bradley's 1000 Revit Families; it reveals the "real value" in cost savings for each pre-built Bradley Revit Family Model.

Each pre-built, Bradley Revit model, can typically save a trained and knowledgeable BIM Manager between $150-$250 of labor costs.

Whoa! How did you arrive at that dollar value?

I arrive at this value, by combining these 2 assumptions with our 7 standard steps (below) for properly constructing a Revit family model. In fact, these are the initial steps I teach every professional; that needs to properly create Revit family models.

Assumption #1: I set my BIM Manager costs at $75 / hour; realizing the manager has real costs for hourly wage, software, equipment and benefits. The manager should have a billable rate (cost) for creating project Revit families (project billing cost) AND company standard Revit family library (billed back as overhead to reduce future project costs). I identify these costs as an organization's BIM Assets.

Bradley Lenox Tiered-Locker Revit Family models are available for download as 1 (single), 2, 3, 4, 5 and/or 6-tiered Revit families.

Each Bradley Revit tiered-locker has a variety of locker height options; that are stored as Revit family types: (24" Height, 36" Height, etc)

Once you've chosen the Revit Locker Height - Family Type; the Revit Properties Box has a series of "check-box" instance parameters that set these lockers' options:
