Bradley features Revit familes for the Enclosed Safety Showers in the Bradley Emergency Fixture Revit Family Library.Bradley ESS units feature emergency eye/face wash and drench showers; that include hot water heating units to meet tepid water standards.

The Bradley Enclosed Safety Shower Revit family components feature a semi-transparent, lightly shaded "clearance box" box. Dashed red lines appear in the plan and elevation views.

The 3D clearance box assists with the design-construction BIM clash-interference detection and coordination.
It helps the designer to design the space with adequate installation and maintenance clearances for this movable equipment.

A Revit subcategory named "Clearance" is assigned to the clearance box. It is located in the Revit View Visibility (VV or VG) dialogue box under "Plumbing Fixtures".

The Revit designer can toggle ON/OFF the visibility of the clearance box in the view.

The ESS Revit family has additional Revit subcategory visibility settings with the prefix of "ESS". They are also are located in the Revit View Visibility (VV or VG) dialogue box under "Plumbing Fixtures".

The designer can toggle On/Off the visibility of the roof, walls and floor.
This enables the designer to easily place ESS product options; Bradley Tankless Water Heaters and EFX Emergency Eyewash/Shower Revit components into the ESS cabinet.

Intro to Chemistry Meets Revit

The Intro to Chemistry Assignment

A couple years ago, our college intern, Rachel Hughes received a high school 'Introduction to Chemistry' assignment to: Calculate the volume (in cubic centimeters) of her irregularly-shaped Chemistry classroom, with a a sloped ceiling.

While she was taking AutoCAD architecture classes; she was willing to learn how to solve this problem using Revit Architecture. Her Chemistry teacher approved the use of Revit to solve the assignment and asked for a brief description of the steps she used.

We used a Revit "test drive" training process; that I developed for shortening my students' Revit classes. She took the Revit "steering wheel" and two hours later discovered the answer to her Chemistry assignment. While enjoying the intuitive "test drive" of her first Revit project; it also underscored the value of "I" in BIM.

"Revit creates the entire room faster than my AutoCAD."

Revit File Exports Serve Solidworks - Process Pipe 3D DWG

Each month we export Bradley Safety Fixture Revit files to ACIS (*.sat) file format; that can be imported into 3D manufacturing software programs, like Solidworks.

We are also asked to convert these same Safety Fixture Revit files to 3D AutoCAD (*.dwg) files for several Process Pipe design programs.

Bradley Laboratory Fixtures | Product Library is part of the Bradley Safety Fixture Product Group. These safety fixtures are available as for either DECK (D) and/or WALL (W) mounted installation.

Eyewash and Eye/Face Wash fixtures that are swing-activated are often located on lavatory decks. A swing-activated fixture provides access to an ANSI-compliant fixture.

Choose from a variety of wall-mounted or deck-mounted designs; that swing out of the way when the fixture is in its resting position. But remains accessible for use during an emergency.
